Helm Hill Runners is a Kendal based running club and was founded in 1990 by Ken Shuttleworth, Billy Procter and a small group of parents. In May 2001, Helm Hill Runners became an affiliated club to the North of England Athletics Association. Seventeen years on, we still meet on a Wednesday evening. On The Helm in summer and at the Kendal Lad's Club during the dark winter months. The club continues to grow. Membership currently stands at one hundred and seventy of which sixty six are juniors. We look forward to running with you. |

Fell Running: In an area as beautiful as the Lake District it's no wonder there are so many fell runners. If roads are too firm, too flat or too dangerous, buy some Walshes and hit the hills. |

X-Country: If you enjoy burning your lungs out and getting caked in mud then take part in some cross country. Few things toughen you up more. Sharpen those spikes. |

Road Running: The most accessible form of running there is. You rarely get muddy, most hills are runable, and best of all, you can hitch a lift if you're tired. |
